This website is about Oracle database administration. I have posted some examples of database features that I have used and implemented, some tips, diagnosis, tuning and configuration examples. I never try to reinvent the wheel and always try to respect the work of others. It is not my goal to copy and paste copyrighted material here. I often refer to documentation where you can find the relevant information. I do not have any commercial intentions.
In order to become a good Oracle database administrator, one needs to study, read and do testing for a number of years. Sharing experience, asking and answering questions at several forums are, in my opinion, necessary. As such, I've been very active at several Oracle forums and very often colleagues and like-minded Oracle enthusiasts call me by telephone or send me emails with questions and queries. It is my ambition to use this website to regroup both the answers and the documentation links I have been providing over the years. I hope it will grow to become something useful. However, it can never be complete and as such, my website should not be your only reference for Oracle Documentation. Obviously everything you can find here is free. Be aware that some features, tips and scripts that you find here are release and configuration dependant. You may want to be prudent by changing your production database configurations. Please feel free to browse the menu at the left side of this page.
I am currently working for Caitlann. The views expressed on this site are my own and do not necessarily reflect the views of the company.
I live with my wife in Moerzeke Belgium. Apart from Oracle databases I am interested in exotic gardening, Pink Floyd, red wine and sighthounds.
The very best thing I did so far in my life is the adoption of two dogs, two Spanisch galgo 's. The plight of many galgo' s in their homecountry should be improved.
